Interview: Necrotombs

Tell us about your latest release: the main concept; what fans should expect; what were/are your goals with it:

My lateste release is the album “Embalmed with rotten flesh”. It was released in october 2018. There isn’t a main concept, I like to talk about zombies and gore in this work and to write riffs and lyrics with an huge impact for listeners. I think that fans should expect an album with 80/90’s sound, blasting riffs and tons of blood. I have fans worldwide, people wrote to me every day from USA, Mexico, Philippines, Indonesia and Europe. I try to answer to everybody if possible.

Did you have a specific sound in mind when you formed the band, or did that grow and evolve as you played together?

When I formed Necrotombs, I tried to recreate the same 80’s or 90’s sound. In a special way for guitars. In my studio I have more or less 10 racks 19″ from late 80’s and early 90’s for guitar and bass. I use these racks to have a sound like Cannibal Corpse, Pestilence in early times.

How does your writing process normally work out?

I start my writing process from music, guitar or bass riffs that I have in my head.
I write and play in my studio inside my house. When tracks are ready I give every song to Matteo from Black Pill Studio Prod. Here I record my voice and finally I can make mixing and mastering section to complete my works.

What are your ambitions and how far do you want to push your band?

I want to share Necrotombs worldwide, there’s no limit.

What are your influences/musical references and the impact those same influences had in your sound?

My influences are bands from 80’s like Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Pestilence and more.

What’s next for you?

I’m in pre-final section for my 4th full album called “Corpse feeding worms”. I’m writing some lyrics in these days. I have to say a very special thanks to Dedy from Dedy Badic Arts for his artwork in this album. Every artworks for Necrotombs was made by him. An other special thanks is for Francesco Longo, an italian horror movie director and a great friend from Moonlight Legacy Production for his lyric video for the song “embalmed with rotten fesh – part 2”. Amazing.
