Interview with Eternal Candle

Tell us about your latest release: the main concept; what fans should expect; what were/are your goals with it:

The idea of the band is the creation of the most melodic elements that a metal music contains. Our fundimental tone is mournful but in a rhythmic way. The songs include all the subgenres in doom in a progressive way. Most of the songs may sound death metal but if you listen over and over you will notice a depressive tone all through the lines. Thus the fans must expect some melodic riffs which are mixed in a sad essence.

Did you have a specific sound in mind when you formed the band, or did that grow and evolve as you played together?

Well, the band’s tendency was a pure doom at the first place. As the time passed, our agressive ideas came up and we combined both themes.

How does your writing process normally work out?

The lyrics have written by couple of lyrisists. I also have written some of them. The process of fullfilling the lyrics are so tough since the songs are too long and have various storyboards.

What are your ambitions and how far do you want to push your band?

We are aiming to have more albums and hold live performances along  with the well-known bands as well. Producing standard and meaningful music was our first purpose. We dont want to make sounds,we want to release the sounds which will remain as the precious songs.

What are your influences/musical references and the impact those same influences had in your sound?

We are much more influenced by Swedish bands like Opeth, Swallow The Sun, Draconian, In Mourning and so many others from around the globe. We had the chance to play with our favorite Danish band “Saturnus” in Emirate (Dubai). We were chosen to have an opening for them.It was a proof that we have been working good enough to perform in an international arena.

What’s next for you?

Well, we are working on our second album. We are dealing with sentimental parts in one hand and agressive ones on the other side. This is how Eternal Candle sounds and this combination makes us work more maticulously on the album. We hope that the second album will be released in 6 months from the New year 2019.
