Interview with HELLVADEC

Tell us about your latest release: the main concept; what fans should expect; what were/are your goals with it:

“Discomfort” is our first release and it’s just a first step for us; the leading theme of the songs is the personal point of views about life experiences, love, anger etc. Newcomer fans should expect a sound which combined heavy riffs, breakdown, female vocals and few melodic refrains all featured in a very good Mastering production. Come to see us and headbang / mosh with us , live gigs are party time and fun at first.

Did you have a specific sound in mind when you formed the band, or did that grow and evolve as you played together?

“Sound” is probably one of the harder things a band must work on . All of us come from different influences and music taste so we try to combine all of them in a way that all members must be “part” of the song . We think is good that everyone could propose ideas or arrangement because a band must work as a team. Team grows and move forward together.

How does your writing process normally work out?

Writing process for “Discomfort” EP worked out mainly combined the lyrics written by Silvia together with the guitar / bass lines composed and arranged together by Damy and Andrea; actually we have already bunch of new songs where writing process was instead focus on songwriting and arrangement made together during band rehears.

What are your ambitions and how far do you want to push your band?

Actually our main focus is plan a promotional tour for the EP . Beside launched “Discomfort” on main music Platform such as ITUNE, GOOGLE PLAY, AMAZON, SPOTIFY ect we wanna perform on stage because is the best way for a band to promote own sound and meet new fans.

What are your influences/musical references and the impact those same influences had in your sound?

Some of our influences come indeed from band such as Guano Apes, Exilia, Judas Priest, Dark Tranquillity , early Metallica and lots more. Indeed several song could feature riff ideas or vocal arrangement that could maybe recall some of these artist but it’s also important to nor become “addicted” by music influences. Being an artist / songwriter means also grow and learn by ownself .

What’s next for you?

We’re already at work for new song that will be feature on our next release which will be a full lenght album
