Founded in 2011, the quartet has already released a highly acclaimed debut in 2013 with “Chapter One – Into The Unknown”. Now the guys with the simply “II” titled successor present an album, which represents clearly more than only the “next step”.

One Last Legacy define their version of modern metal with a gripping mix of Scandinavian melodic death and a sound reminiscent of bands like Machine Head or Five Finger Death Punch. In addition, the duo Roick/Szechowski is able to create really brilliant songs, which follow a dramaturgy that lets the listener experience each song as an own story. Typical genre elements, such as the mixture between clean vocals and aggressive shouts, are not only stylistic elements for the sake of cliché, but a coherent and authentic component of the entire work, without appearing “false” or “out of place”.

“II” is a gripping and technically demanding metal album, with a good deal of joy in playing and an exceedingly brute sound. The Kohlekeller Studio (e.g. Crematory, Powerwolf), in which the album was recorded, mixed and mastered under the direction of Kai Stahlenberg, is responsible for the latter.
