Interview with Feel No Pain

Tell us about your latest release: the main concept; what fans should expect; what were/are your goals with it:

It´s an E.P. entitled INTO THE CHAOS and it’s our second release after a demo in 2016. The basic concept is chaos, an ambiguous and powerful concept, relatable to many things. Although each song has a different subject, chaos is a link between all of them, whether is the chaos generated by something as well known as death or human conflicts, or the cosmic chaos Lovecraft wrote about.
All the songs of the EP have been played live, so our fans will be already familiar with them, but at last they will be able to listen to powerful studio versions full of details, recorded with a killer sound.
Our goal is to present the sound of Feel No Pain in 2018, with the new line up of the band, in the most powerful and clear way and generate interest in our music.

Did you have a specific sound in mind when you formed the band, or did that grow and evolve as you played together?

We were always sure that we wanted to keep the standard guitar tuning, which is not so usual nowadays, and that gives a more sharp and defined feel to the music. Me and David are brothers, so we have played together all our lives, but when we got together with Xorth and Carlos they contributed their own influences and way of playing to the sound of the band, adding more aggressiveness and intensity both at instrumental level and in vocal parts.

How does your writing process normally work out?

The songs usually start from guitar riffs. For a while David and I made the songs from start to finish, but the new songs that we are doing are taking shape in the rehearsal room with the whole band.

What are your ambitions and how far do you want to push your band?

We have no limits as far as ambition is concerned, we believe that our particular mix of thrash, heavy and extreme elements can please a wide and varied audience, and our goal is to get our music to all of them, both in our country and abroad. . We are very motivated and we are just getting started! We have always wanted our music to be epic, guitar-driven, and full of good melodies. Some of our main influences would be Metallica, Slayer, Sepultura, Blind Guardian, Iron Maiden …

What’s next for you?

Right now we want to present Into The Chaos live as much as possible, but we are already composing material for what will be our first album.
