Vitrail’s first full album will arrive on Quebec’s Black Metal scene on April 2nd, 2021. Though inspired by the likes of Deaf Heaven, Alcest and the current surge of atmospheric black-metal bands, Vitrail’s sound stands out by their shorter songs, quick transitions and distinctive progressive elements.
Vitrail, which is french for stained glass, draws its inspiration from sacred texts and art which has shaped our world for hundreds of past generations. Faith may have faded with time, but the message and symbolism still finds a way to strike us with awe. “Les pages oubliées” (The forgotten pages) stands as a tribute to the lost wisdom one can find through these relics.
